Cabarete surf camp.
Located on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic lies the holiday town of Cabarete. We are blessed with good winter swells and a wide variety of surf breaks, from mellow beaches for beginners to offshore reefs for the experienced surfers looking for some caribbean perfection.
Surf lessons or exploring the island?
Every morning surf lessons are given to beginners or intermediate surfers. For the experienced surfers we offer transport to and from the main surf beach of Encuentro every morning at either 6.30 or 8.30. Come back, have breakfast, and if the swell is good go on a guided tour to some of the other surf spots along this stretch of coast. Some of the better spots are Playa Grande and Preciosa, These are very goodspots that on a good day can rival many world class spots found elsewhere on the world, without the crowds though!!
Surf material
For the people that don’t have a board or don’t want to bring it to the DR we have a large selection of boards here for rent, varying from 6’shortboards to 9’0 longboards (epoxy). Wetsuits? We don’t need any over here, a lycra in the summer is more than enough not the get a rash or sunburn, and a windstopper rashy maybe in winter is more than enough. surf shops here in cabarete sell all the stuff you need.
